Hannah was born in Worksop, England and has been singing for as long as she can remember. Now living in Bristol, Hannah continues to sing all over the world in recitals, opera and oratorios.
While some may consider her day job as an Investment Actuary jarring with her passion for all things music, Hannah relishes the opportunity to have two completely different activities to fill her days. Most recently, her musical passions have led her to start an opera company in the South West, Opera In A Box, which works with young emerging artists to produce small scale, easily accessible performances – aiming to bring opera to a new audience, and to introduce opera in unlikely venues.
From Hannah’s first musical training, joining the St Wulfram’s Church Choir at the age of 10 (being the first girl ever allowed to join the choir!) to her work with the International Academy of Wales, Hannah has constantly looked to improve her performance, both vocally and through movement. During 2017 Hannah travelled to Burgundy, France for the 10 day course ‘Opera Connections Europe’ which included her meeting and working with casting agents, musical directors and directors from opera houses across Europe.
Some of her favourite roles to date include Mimi La Boheme (Opera In A Box), Anna The Merry Widow (Somerset Opera), Belinda Dido & Aeneas (Opera Solstice), Cenerentola La Cenerentola (Tessitoura), Donna Elvira Don Giovanni (Toronto City Opera), Eurydice Orpheus In The Underworld (Bath G&S), Giulietta The Tales of Hoffmann (Bristol Opera) and Josephine HMS Pinafore (Bristol G&S).
During 2018, Hannah will continue to perform in and around the UK with recitals and performances in Germany, France and England including opera, oratorio and song performances.
